Domain property covers every subdomain and both HTTP/HTTPS protocols with a single verification. URL prefix is scoped to a single subdomain + protocol. Domain is more flexible and the modern default.

How long until I see data in Search Console?

Verification is instant once DNS propagates (typically 5–60 minutes). Performance data starts populating within 24 hours but full coverage takes 2–7 days for new sites.

What does Ordiko do with GSC OAuth access?

Ordiko pulls daily GSC data into your dashboard (queries, pages, CTR, position, impressions) for the Performance dashboard available on Growth and above. Read-only access — Ordiko cannot modify your GSC settings.

Step 1: Add domain to GSC

Go to search.google.com/search-console and click Add property.

Choose:

Domain property (recommended): covers all subdomains and both HTTP/HTTPS. Requires DNS verification.
URL prefix: covers one subdomain + protocol. Easier to verify but more limited.

Enter your domain (e.g., example.com for Domain property).

Step 2: Verify ownership

GSC asks for a verification method. For Domain property, it's always DNS.

GSC displays a TXT record value like google-site-verification=abc123...xyz.

In Ordiko:

Settings → SEO → Search Console → Verify domain.
Paste the TXT record value.
Ordiko provisions the DNS record (if you use Ordiko-managed DNS) or shows instructions for your DNS provider.
